Miss Thailand 2008 and fellow contestents bid farewell to foreign tourists at Suvarnabhumi International Airport on Friday 5th December 2008. The airport was closed for eight days after being taken over by the 'People's Alliance for Democracy' an anti-government group. An estimated 300,000 tourists were left stranded in Thailand.
