Thailand’s latest and most modern Muay Thai stadium is the Bangkok Boxing Stadium. Muay Thai, sometimes called Thai Kick Boxing, dates back hundreds of years and and is different to Western boxing because eight limbs are allowed to be used. Namely: hands, shins, elbows and knees. Fights at Bangkok Boxing Stadium take place every Saturday from 2.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. Boxing matches during the first two hours are usually broadcast live on Channel 11. Muay Thai matches also include female fighters (Muay Ying) and foreign kick boxers. (Richard Barrow/ThaiPhotoBlogs.com)
