The Grand opening Ceremony of the Dragon Descendants Museum in Suphan Buri Province took place on 24th December 2008. Located 200 km northwest of Bangkok, the giant Dragon shaped museum is the newest attraction in the province. It focuses on Chinese history and the migration of Chinese clans to neighbouring countries such as Thailand, where they established successful business empires. The Dragon statue building, which has water splashing from its mouth, measures 135 meters long, 35 meters high and 18 meters wide. Inside the building, there are 20 rooms that display historical collections and information on Chinese dynasties, literature and traditions dating back 5,000 years. The museum took nearly two years to build. (ThaiPhotoBlogs.com/Richard Barrow)
