A tourist from the the UK is being scammed outside the Grand Palace. Every day, dozens of scammers lie to tourists that Wat Phra Kaew is closed for a special ceremony. They then suggest that they go to the Big Buddha and the Lucky Buddha. A nearby tuk tuk driver is in on the scam and says he will take the tourists there for only 10 baht. But the tourists end up being taken to a tailors and gem store where they are often cheated. All of this happens in front of the soldiers on guard duty. Despite the fact that the Tourist Authority of Thailand knowing about these scams, they have done little to help the foreign tourists.
