Passengers pack the concourse of Hualamphong Train Station in Bangkok at the start of the New Year holidays on the evening of Friday 28th December. The majority of people are migrant workers who are returning to their home provinces. However, there are also many tourists going to destinations such as Chiang Mai for the holidays. All seats on the trains were sold out. (Thai Rath)
