On an island on the Chao Phraya River in Samut Prakan, there is a 100 year old fortress called Phi Sua Samut Fort. It was built in order to protect the approach to Bangkok which is further upriver. The Crown Prince celebrated his 57th birthday today by releasing 590,000 fish into the river. Nine different species of fish were released during this merit making ceremony.

This morning, the Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn accompanied by Crown Princess Srirasmi and their son Prince Dipangkorn Rasmijoti officially opened Dipangkornwittayapat (Watbot) School school which is under patronage to the Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn.
