A bottle of Chang Beer is placed on display during the Thai Beverage's listing ceremony at the Singapore Exchange in Singapore May 30, 2006. Shares in Thai Beverage dropped below their IPO price in the first half hour of trading on Tuesday after the S$1.37 billion ($867 million) stock offering -- Singapore's biggest in over a decade -- got a weak response amid turbulent world financial markets. Shares in Thai Beverage, known for its Chang Beer and Mekhong whisky, started trade at its initial public offering (IPO) price of S$0.28 but then slipped to S$0.26 on turnover worth more than S$50 million, making it the most actively traded share on the Singapore stock exchange.
