A giant butterfly was discovered recently in a garden in Phitsanulok Province in Northern Thailand. The wingspan was measured at 10 inches. The attractive design attracted many local people to see if they could spot lottery numbers in the pattern. (Thai Rath)

A large python was a surprise guest at a Mother's day ceremony at a temple in Krabi recently. As this was considered to be auspicious, local villagers rushed out to buy lottery tickets with the numbers "12" and "8" which are the date and month this event happened. Saiyon Opas, a taxi driver from Bangkok, told reporters today about his lucky number plate. He said that on Saturday, which was 07/07/07, he just knew that something unique and auspicious would happen. Then at 4 a.m. he was hailed by a couple who urgently wanted to be taken to the hospital. However, before they got there, the taxi driver heard the cries of a baby in the back. He turned around to see that the teenage boy had just delivered a healthy baby girl in the back seat. The mother and baby are doing well and the taxi driver hopes to visit them later. People are now rushing out to buy Thai lottery tickets with 7777 on them. (Picture: Thai Rath).

This strange looking pig was born recently in Sukhothai. It has big ears like an elephant and also a growth on its forehead that looks like a trunk. The pig only lived for two hours before dying.
