Thailand's Finance Minister Pridiyathorn Devakula gestures during a news conference at government house in Bangkok, Thailand Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007. Pridiyathorn tried Wednesday to reassure foreign investors about proposed new rules limiting foreign ownership of Thai companies, saying that many foreign firms would be exempt from new rules and that the details of the government's plan to amend the Foreign Business Act could be flexible. He said the draft law, which still needs parliamentary approval, mainly applies to service industries, while most foreign companies are in industrial and export sectors. (AP Photo)
